In short
The order type changes how you enter a trade and how much control you have over price and execution.
01
A market order asks the platform to execute immediately at the best available price. It prioritizes getting filled, but the final price can move because of spread, liquidity, or a fast market.
02
A limit order specifies the maximum price you will pay to buy or the minimum price you will accept to sell. It gives you price control, but it may never fill.
03
Neither order type is automatically safer. Learn how the venue handles partial fills, trigger orders, stop losses, and mark price before relying on them in a leveraged position.
