A candlestick shows what price did during a chosen period, including the open, close, high, and low.
The body shows the distance between the opening and closing price. A candle that closes above its open is often shown as bullish; one that closes below is often shown as bearish. The color is a visual convention, not a prediction.
The wicks show the highest and lowest prices reached during that period. A long wick can show that price explored a level and was rejected, but one candle is not enough evidence for a trade.
Change the timeframe and the candles change too. Start with one timeframe, describe what you see in plain language, and avoid treating a candlestick pattern as a guaranteed signal.
