KYC is identity verification, and the timing can matter as much as whether a firm says it is required.
KYC means Know Your Customer. It can include government identification, proof of address, sanctions screening, payment verification, or other checks before a firm allows a payout or funded-stage access.
A firm may allow a trader to purchase an evaluation before KYC and ask for verification later. That is different from saying no identity checks are required anywhere in the customer journey.
Before paying, check when verification happens, what documents are accepted, whether the legal name must match payment details, and what happens if the check cannot be completed.
