What is trading, really?

Trading is the process of buying and selling an asset based on a view about how its price may move. Traders can look for opportunities when prices rise or fall, but every idea carries risk.

Stocks, crypto, forex, commodities, and indices are different markets with different hours, liquidity, and behavior. Start by learning one market instead of trying to understand everything at once.

A good beginner process is simple: form a clear idea, define where the idea is wrong, choose a position size, and record what happened. A trade is a decision with a limit—not a prediction with certainty.
